From Surf Culture to Surfboard Design
SVV Shapes grew out of Surfviviendo, a surf project that began around 2010 after our early days on MySpace. What started as a platform following the local surf scene across Baja California and Southern California soon became a way to document free surfing, local contests, emerging surfers and the culture surrounding our community.
Through years of involvement in the surf scene and participation in different international surf events, those connections gradually led to working directly with local shapers. I began focusing on digital surfboard design, production files, shape refinement and new ways to translate a shaper’s ideas into accurate, buildable surfboards. Around 2014, that evolution became Surfviviendo Shapes — SVV Shapes.

DESIGN, PRODUCTION & COLLABORATION
SVV Shapes works in collaboration with experienced glassers and surfboard builders in California, Mexico and Argentina, allowing our designs and models to be produced through carefully selected, high-quality manufacturing processes. From materials and construction to glassing and final finishing, we focus on quality, consistency and attention to detail throughout every stage of production.
We work directly with surfers looking for their next custom board, as well as shapers, designers and surf brands seeking design, development or production support. We believe the best results come through open communication, collaboration and a willingness to explore new ideas, materials and technologies.
GRAPHIC DESIGN & PRINTING

INLAY ART & PRODUCTION
Original surfboard inlay artwork, custom graphic concepts and production-ready designs for polyester and epoxy laminations.

High-resolution 3D scanning of existing surfboards for reproduction, reverse engineering, archiving or further design development.
