#LA_POLVORA #ROUND_TAIL was designed around one simple idea: explosive performance with the speed, forgiveness and versatility needed for everyday surfing. It blends the accessibility of a hybrid with the sensitivity and control of a modern performance shortboard, creating a board that feels fast, lively and immediately responsive.
The wider, lower and more forgiving nose adds paddle power, early speed and stability without taking away the ability to surf aggressively. Combined with a performance-oriented back half, The Pólvora allows you to generate speed quickly, drive through turns and still push hard off the tail when the wave opens up.
Bottom Contours:
A generous single-to-double concave runs through the main section of the board and through the front fins, transitioning into a noticeable vee behind the rear fin and continuing out through the tail. This combination creates speed and drive while allowing smooth rail-to-rail transitions and added control through turns.
Rocker & Outline:
A low centerline rocker through the tail is combined with a more curved rail-line rocker under the rear foot, giving the board drive down the line while maintaining responsiveness when pushed onto rail. The lower and wider nose adds speed, stability and forgiveness while still preserving a modern performance feel.
Fin Setup:
Thruster configuration for a balanced combination of drive, control and release.
How to Size It:
